Lagos Women Run 2017

 

The Lagos Women Run 2017 has come and gone with its attendant glitz and glamour the run witnessed an unprecedented mammoth crowd of women from all works of life participate at the 2017 run, groups as well as fitness religious and non-governmental organisation where not left out in the run as they all showcased the finest of there runners.

Victory was for all as the excitement kicked off at the early ours of the morning of the 11th of November, 2017 as over 2500 women lined up at the starting point of the second edition of the Lagos Women Run held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Suru-lere Lagos to take part in the race which kicked off at exactly 7am in the morning.

While new champions emerged and new records set the 2017 edition of the Lagos Women Run was no doubt one of the sporting event of the year

About Us

The Lagos Women Run is an Initiative of the Gym Assured and MARRCOM Marathon and Road Race Company in partnership (NAWIS) Lagos Chapter, a group of women with Professional background in Sports Management and Administration and other women organisation .

The aim and objective is to get women to the starting point of fitness through RUN. Among other things the event is expected to bring awareness to the general public about issues affecting women such as Sexual Abuse, Female Child Education,Family and Issues of Equality.
